Friday News Update with the Thief

The first line is hilarious enough…

“Have you been looking for a way to combine your love of uppercutting people with your love of sticking your penis in things? Do you like not having to pay child support to illegitimate children? Are you frustrated that there isn’t a contraceptive device available that shows Ryu’s testicles?” — Jonathan Ross, for

How hilarious is that? Street Fighter, one of my favorite fighting franchises out there, has been given a condom. I can imagine all of the nerds running out to get this as a collectors item. I know i’m suppose to think this is idiotic, or hilarious…but all I’m thinking is that when you ejaculate a Hadoken or Sonic Boom her life bar will deplete. Next story!

Just like the writer of this article, I’m not very surprised that Starcraft II is selling at record breaking speeds, but I’m glad that it is. Starcraft was a revolutionary game in 1998. It gave us all reason to be PC gamers, acting as an introduction to the Real-Time Strategy genre for many. Personally I prefer Warcraft III but thats because it was my first RTS. Still, seeing that I haven’t played Starcraft II it’s still very awesome to see its success in a matter of moments after its release.

“Here’s what that means: over the course of the first 48 hours, more than 1.5 million copies of StarCraft II were sold.” — Nick Chester, for

31,250 copies an hour…an hour! That, my friends, is very impressive. I guarantee Starcraft II will get at least one Game of the Year award.

Umm…Uncharted isn’t getting a movie…yay? Next day.

Finally! FINALLY! Batman: Arkham Asylum’s sequel name and release time has been announced! Game Informer magazine will be having “Batman: Arkham City” on the cover of it’s magazine. (I call Dibs on reviewing Batman: Arkham City everyone!!) This game is one that everyone has been waiting for since they picked up Arkham Asylum. Batman will be taking the streets to clean up the crime in Gotham City. People who have been confirmed so far would be Two-Face, The Riddler, Catwoman, Talia As Ghul, and Mr. Freeze as well. Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman, has confirmed that this iteration with be very, very dark. This will also be Mark Hamill’s last game voicing The Joker. I’m VERY ready to stop some crime!

Check back next week for more news and reaction from myself
