Community Service: 8/29/10

It’s back to school for all us college folk, but we’re not going to let that slow us down here at The Community.  We’ll be trying to bring out some articles geared toward gamers going back to school, starting with Monday when I’ll show the Magic: The Gathering players a few free ways to inspire some fun and creativity in local playgroups that can stagnate during the school year.

Wednesday, Clovenhoof will be making his triumphant return talking about some CounterStrike: Source maps.  It might not match our little theme, but we’re pretty happy just to see him writing again.

Tuesday, TheElitist will be talking about something related to either sports games, back to school, or both.  Sorry folks, I just calls ’em like I sees ’em.

Friday, Cam of the Mournland will offer advice to D&D lovers who want to design one-shots – dungeon crawls meant to be completed in one session – to busy schoolfolk who might not have time for a weekly campaign.

The Thief is still on hiatus, but he’s been chomping at the bit to give us a review of Other M.  I give it about an 85% chance of being an interesting read, but only a 5% chance I won’t just edit it to read: “Wii Sucks.”

With great power…probably comes a lot of money.  But we’ll wait and see on that one.
